libkernlib1-dev software package provides CERNLIB data analysis suite - core library of basic functions (development), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkernlib1-dev
libkernlib1-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkernlib1-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkernlib1-dev *
You will get with libkernlib1-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
